The spokesperson for the Iraqi Armed Forces confirmed the US attack on the west of the country, stating that these attacks violate the sovereignty and undermine the efforts of the Baghdad government to establish stability in the country.

Yahya Rasoul said that the cities of Al-Qaim and border areas between Iraq and Syria have been targeted by airstrikes and bombings from American fighter jets.

He added that this attack is taking place at a time when Iraq is trying to ensure regional stability. Rasoul warned that the impact of these attacks on the security and stability of Iraq and the region will be very grave.

Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, the spokesperson for the Iraqi Prime Minister, said that these attacks pose a serious threat to Iraq and lead the region towards dire consequences.
