Phone Conversation Between Pezeshkian and Prince Mohammed bin Salman

On Sunday, November 11, Masoud Pezeshkian had a phone conversation with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. In this call, Pezeshkian cited his busy schedule as the reason for not attending the special summit of Islamic countries’ leaders and mentioned that Mohammad Reza Aref, the First Vice President, will attend the summit.

According to the government’s news agency, Pezeshkian expressed hope for deepening and expanding relations between the two countries and stated, ‘I have no doubt that this summit, with your excellency’s wisdom, will have effective and tangible results in stopping Israel’s crimes and the war and bloodshed in Gaza and Lebanon.’

The Saudi Crown Prince also expressed hope for elevating relations between the two countries to the highest levels and said, ‘We completely understand your situation and consider the opportunity for your First Vice President to be present in Riyadh as valuable.’
