President Anseh Khazali has issued a pardon order for students

President Ensiyeh Khazali has ordered the amnesty of the protesting students.

The Deputy for Women and Family Affairs in Ibrahim Raisi’s government announced the amnesty order for the protesting students on Saturday, February 29th.

Ensiyeh Khazali stated to ILNA news agency regarding the issued suspensions or expulsions of the protesting students that the President has issued an amnesty order for these individuals.

She expressed hope that the disciplinary committees of universities would address this issue and considered the Minister of Science responsible for overseeing the implementation of Raisi’s order.

Critics argue that this action, like the amnesty decree for political prisoners, has been taken to marginalize news of suppressing universities.
