Please declare the reasons for rejecting my qualification in Rouhani’s third letter to the Guardian Council.
Hassan Rouhani’s website wrote yesterday morning that the third letter of Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Hassan Rouhani to the Guardian Council to declare the reasons for disqualifying him in the elections of the sixth term of the Assembly of Experts has been sent. The two previous letters from Dr. Rouhani to the Guardian Council have remained unanswered.
Hadi Tahan Nazifi, the spokesperson for the Guardian Council, had previously stated about the council’s lack of response to Hassan Rouhani’s letters to provide reasons for his disqualification, ‘Our priority is to review the qualifications of those who had complaints, as opposed to those who did not have any complaints. We have not yet started reviewing those who did not have complaints, but we will definitely address those individuals as it is their legal right.’
Ayatollah A’rafi, a member of the clerics of the Guardian Council, also commented yesterday on Rouhani’s letter to the Guardian Council to state the reasons for his disqualification. He said, ‘It has been said that a quicker response should be provided, and I also agree that the response should be given quickly. They will give their answer.’
Yesterday, Rouhani’s third letter was sent to the Guardian Council, and it is expected that, as the members of this council have stated, the reasons for Dr. Rouhani’s disqualification will be announced in a short time.
