Putin emphasizes strengthening counterintelligence services

Vladimir Putin ordered the Federal Security Service to increase surveillance of the society and the country’s borders to prevent risks from foreign threats.

In a speech on Security Services Day, widely celebrated in Russia, Putin said this should be intensified through the border services and the Federal Security Service.

The Russian President also stated that maximum calmness and concentration of forces are now required from counterintelligence services, including military intelligence.
