Qatar's Failure to Establish Peace Between Palestinians and Israelis

Qatar’s failure to establish calm between Palestinians and Israelis

Israel has destroyed Hamas weapon production warehouses in Gaza with attacks. These attacks followed a missile strike from Gaza on Israeli-controlled territories. In response to this attack, new missile strikes from Gaza towards Israel have occurred again.

These developments are bad news for the Qataris, who, at the start of the World Cup, had sent a special envoy to the Palestinians, warning them to refrain from escalating tensions and missile attacks during the World Cup. Arab spectators attending various World Cup matches and even players from Arab teams have drawn much attention by carrying Palestinian flags and large banners supporting the Palestinians. It can be imagined that if tensions rise again and serious conflicts occur, there could be specific reactions from Arab spectators during the matches.
