Reduction in the water volume of 21 important dams in Iran

Studies show that despite recent rainfall in various regions of Iran, the water volume of 21 important dams for drinking and agricultural purposes has decreased by 25 to 75 percent from the first of Mehr month to the 16th of Bahman month compared to the same period last year.

Among them, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Energy’s information center in Iran, the reserves of the five dams in Tehran have decreased by 82 percent.

This report shows that the water reserves in the five dams of Tehran were 234 million cubic meters, which is a decrease of 82 million cubic meters compared to the same period last year when it was 316 million cubic meters.

In addition to Tehran, the water volume in 21 important dams in Iran, including in provinces such as Mazandaran, Markazi, Hormozgan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Khuzestan, has decreased.
