Russia’s objection to the UN resolution by Washington is complicit in the massacre

After the United States vetoed the UN Security Council resolution on Friday, which called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Russia’s representative in the organization attacked the US and accused Washington of complicity in the brutal killings of Israel in its statements.

Dmitry Polyanskiy, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia in the organization, said that by doing this, the US condemned thousands of other civilians in Palestine and Israel, as well as UN personnel who are trying to help them, to death.

Referring to the votes of the US and Britain, he added that they spoke a lot about democracy, human rights, peace, security, order, and the rule of law, but today we understood the true value of these words because two members of the Security Council preferred to remain complicit in Israel’s brutal actions.

Russia was among the 13 countries that voted in favor of the draft resolution, which called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, the immediate release of hostages, and humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip.
