Sajjadi: Queiroz should plan for the Asian Cup

The Minister of Sports and Youth announced the support of this organization for Carlos Queiroz’s planning to participate in the Asian Cup.

Minutes after the national team’s arrival in Tehran, Hamid Sajjadi claimed among reporters and amidst numerous questions about the future of the national team’s bench that the current staff will also be supported for participation in the Asian Cup.

The Minister of Sports initially referred to his presence among the players during the World Cup matches in Qatar, saying, ‘Being with the national team doesn’t tire a person, thank God, and the opportunity to be present at the World Cup was also valuable. You saw the games, the guys tried hard in the last match, and even now on the flight, they were talking about it and were eager to advance. They were very depressed and upset about conceding that goal.’

With these remarks, he indicated that Carlos Queiroz should once again be considered the head coach of the national team in the ongoing journey, especially for the Asian Cup.
