Security Council meeting on Gaza
The proposed resolution by the United States to call for a ceasefire in Gaza faced opposition from China and Russia and did not pass.
This is the fourth resolution that has been vetoed by permanent members of the Security Council. The previous three resolutions were vetoed by the United States. The Russian representative in today’s session stated that this resolution does not help the Palestinians and only reflects America’s double standards.
