Seyed Mohammad Sadr said the wartime was harder than now.
A member of the Expediency Discernment Council, in an interview with the Shargh newspaper, stated that trust is established when the government and authority involve the people in all matters.
He added that when you do not allow people to participate politically and culturally, and even prevent them from having their own candidates in elections, it is natural that over time, the trust that existed between the people and the government since the beginning of the revolution will decrease.
Sadr said that during the war, the economic situation was much worse than now, meaning most goods were unavailable, and the rest were rationed. Despite this, the current problems in Iran did not exist because there was a friendly and trust-building relationship between the government and the people.
