The killing of 6 Iranian citizens in the recent earthquake in Turkey

ISNA news agency, citing officials from the Iranian Embassy and Consulate in Turkey, reported the killing of 6 Iranian citizens in the recent earthquake in Turkey.

According to ISNA’s report, 3 of them were Mohammadreza Mirahmadi, Mehdi Saeidavi, and Hamed Matroudi, members of the Disabled Members’ Team of the Municipality of Spor Malatya, who were present at the Karchoval Hotel with their team.

It has also been announced that three other women, including two Iranian students, were killed in this incident.

According to this report, one of the Iranian students named Shahreh Najafi, who was studying in Cyprus, traveled to Turkey during her vacation and lost her life in this earthquake.

It has been reported that the bodies of these three women have been identified in the Osmaniye, Adiyaman, and Diyarbakir regions.

It is likely that the number of Iranians killed in the recent earthquake will increase with the continuation of the debris removal.

According to the latest statistics, at least 43,800 people have lost their lives in Turkey and northern Syria due to the severe earthquake.
