The spokesperson of the Fire Department stated that a wire connection was the cause of the fire at Gandhi Hospital.
Seyyed Jalal Maleki, the spokesperson of the Fire Department, said that after extinguishing the fire, investigations began to find the cause of the incident. Ultimately, experts from the Fire Department and Safety Services of Tehran, after examining all the evidence, identified a wire connection as the reason for the fire.
He announced that there were no casualties or fatalities in this incident and dismissed previous rumors that blamed a cigarette butt as the cause of the fire.
Mr. Maleki explained that the electrical wire connection incident occurred in a 20-meter warehouse on the 16th floor of the hospital, leading to the fire spreading slowly to the building facade.
He mentioned that after that, the fire spread more rapidly through the facade and reached other sections of the hospital.
He warned people to be cautious and stated that a fire can easily occur. He mentioned that a similar incident happened in Plasco, where a wire connection was also the cause of the fire.
