Stop violating human rights and supporting war, Joseph Borrell.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced on Monday evening, 30 Bahman, about his phone call with the European Union’s foreign policy chief and senior European negotiator in the JCPOA talks. Joseph Borrell also confirmed that he called on Tehran to cooperate urgently with the agency.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian tweeted that in this call, he discussed the relations between the Islamic Republic and the European Union, and agreed on lifting sanctions on the condition of returning to Tehran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and ending the war in Ukraine with Joseph Borrell.
The European Union’s foreign policy chief also wrote about the content of the conversation with the Iranian Foreign Minister, stating, ‘I once again emphasized the EU’s position on the behavior of the Iranian government: stop violating human rights, stop supporting Russia’s aggressive war, and stop arbitrary detention of EU citizens.’
This senior European diplomat also stated that the Iranian government must immediately cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
