Summoning the Russian ambassador to the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The South Korean government formally expressed its objection to Russia regarding the recent partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea.

According to reports, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Russian ambassador in Seoul.

Meanwhile, South Korean authorities have demanded Moscow to immediately halt military cooperation with Pyongyang.

In a statement, the South Korean government stated that any direct or indirect cooperation aiding Pyongyang in expanding its military capabilities would be considered a violation of UN Security Council resolutions.

The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also warned about the possibility of negative consequences on the country’s relations with Russia.

Putin has recently hinted at the possibility of sending arms to North Korea.

Meanwhile, the US State Department has also assessed this issue as very concerning.
