Sweden and Denmark joined the European defense plan

Sweden and Denmark have joined the European Air Defense Shield Initiative.

The European Secure Software-defined Radio (ESSI) agreement, which was initiated by Germany and signed by 14 countries in October last year, aims to help address the existing gaps in NATO’s air defense shield for Europe. 13 out of the 14 signatory countries are NATO members.

Now, Sweden and Denmark have also joined this initiative.

It is said that this project still has some shortcomings, including in the area of ballistic missiles that reach high altitudes and in defense against unmanned aircraft and cruise missiles.
