The Authority of Joe Biden in the New Era of American Politics
The President of the United States delivered a speech in response to the approximate results of many key election races in the country. As expected, this speech was based on the electoral achievements of his party and the limited and less-than-expected setbacks of the Democrats in various contests. Biden, while celebrating the victory of American democracy and the country’s success in conducting relatively trouble-free and completely secure elections with remarkable calm and stability, commented on the Republicans’ victory in the House of Representatives race. In one of the most unprecedented speeches by a president after the midterm elections, he clearly outlined his red lines in dealing with Republican leaders in the House of Representatives. He explicitly and in a list-like manner enumerated the issues on which he is not willing to compromise, and naturally, he generally expressed readiness to cooperate with the Republicans in the House of Representatives.
Having postponed the announcement of his decision about running for the upcoming presidential election to late this year or early 2023, he publicly declared that he intends to run.
