The cinema deputy: We should not say anything that offends any part of the system
Mohsen Barmahani: Some cinema people have taken a stance, and if these stances disrupt the country’s security or encourage unrest and loss of opportunities, the organization that should make decisions about them is not the national broadcasting organization.
There are institutions that handle these matters. We do not want the country’s artistic assets and capacities to be easily lost. However, there are a few individuals who have taken such stances.
Three thousand and several hundred people are active in cinema and television, and only a few have taken a stance in recent incidents. We will continue our work with them.
If we speak about national issues, we should not say anything that offends any part of the system.
