Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, has described the discovery of uranium with 84% concentration in Iran as a very serious issue in his reports.
Mr. Blinken, who was speaking at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart in Ankara on Tuesday, announced that the United States is in contact with the International Atomic Energy Agency and three European countries regarding this matter.
According to Mr. Blinken, the United States is seeking to obtain more information in this regard.
Reuters and Bloomberg news agencies have reported, citing diplomatic sources, that inspectors from the agency have discovered particles of uranium with 84% concentration in Iranian nuclear facilities.
Behrouz Kamalvandi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, has stated that the presence of uranium particles above 60% concentration in the enrichment process does not mean enrichment above 60%.
