The duty of the Chairman of the Cinema House Board of Directors is to follow up, not to impose sanctions

The duty of the chairman of the Cinema House board is to follow up, not to impose sanctions.

As part of society, artists may be affected by this turmoil. Therefore, we do not quickly decide whether to impose sanctions or not on different phenomena or currents. Our duty is to follow up.

A few days ago, the Cinema House sent a letter to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance regarding the Council of Construction Permit and Play Permit. Some people asked me what the relevance of sending such letters is when your colleagues are being arrested.

I responded that this is essentially our professional duty. If we don’t perform this duty now, because we were informed that something is being approved, we will have to wait five years to revoke it.
