The final verdict of Sepideh Rashno's imprisonment for four years has been announced

Sepideh Rashno’s final sentence of four years imprisonment has been communicated.

Milad Panahipour, Sepideh Rashno’s lawyer, wrote that she has been sentenced to an additional four months of definitive imprisonment on charges of distributing obscene images on social media, bringing her total sentence for her two cases to three years and 11 months in prison.

According to Rashno’s lawyer, the new case was filed due to the publication of a picture of herself and providing information about the disciplinary committee’s verdict at Al-Zahra University on Instagram.

In response to the issuance of the imprisonment sentence against her on Instagram, Sepideh Rashno wrote, ‘Having four years of imprisonment for having hair is just as absurd as imprisoning someone for having hands or feet.’
