The head of the aviation organization says companies are demanding a 100% increase in ticket prices.
Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh, the head of Iran’s aviation organization, has said that airlines are demanding a 100% increase in airplane ticket prices.
The Tasnim News Agency has reported, quoting him, that airplane ticket prices in Iran have not increased in nearly two years, and now this issue is set to be discussed in the Market Regulation Headquarters.
He has stated that the opinion of the Civil Aviation Organization has also been obtained, but this does not mean a 100% increase, and we are striving to help the airlines so they can operate under standard conditions and avoid serious challenges for this industry.
Previously, there were reports of complaints from airlines due to unchanged flight ticket prices and warnings about the potential bankruptcy of airlines.
The increase in exchange rates, wages, inflation, and price hikes in the aviation industry have been cited as reasons for the request to increase airplane ticket prices.
