The Last Gold Medal of Iran at the Paris Paralympics Hung Around Ahmad Aminzadeh's Neck

The last gold medal for Iran at the Paris Paralympics was awarded to Ahmad Aminzadeh.

Ahmad Aminzadeh, the weightlifter of Iran’s Paralympic team in the over 107 kg category, achieved first place and won the gold medal by lifting a 258 kg weight.

Mr. Aminzadeh thus earned the title of the strongest man at the Paris Paralympics.

Previously, Aliakbar Gharibshahi, another heavyweight lifter from Iran’s Paralympic team, had also won a gold medal in the up to 107 kg category.

This medal was the last one awarded at the Paris Paralympics, and with the conclusion of these games, Iran’s team reached the fourteenth position in the world medal rankings at the Paralympics.
