The latest case of Esteghlal Club of Iran in FIFA

A new case has been opened against Iran in the world football federation due to a complaint by a Portuguese club.

When Esteghlal Club of Iran intended to recruit the Iranian player Mohammad Mohebi from the Portuguese club Santa Clara, they perhaps didn’t imagine that even the loan transfer of this player would become a major financial issue for the Blues.

Esteghlal Club was supposed to pay the transfer fee for Mohebi in two installments as per the agreement with Santa Clara, but now it’s been a while that only $90,000 out of the $230,000 for the second installment has reached the Portuguese club.

For this reason, Santa Clara has filed a complaint with the world football federation to claim their rights. If Santa Clara wins this case in FIFA, besides the financial amount, Mohammad Mohebi will also have to leave Esteghlal and return to Portugal.
