The Iranian Foreign Minister has received a message from the United States through Iraq.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Foreign Minister, says he has discussed strengthening border security with the Iraqi government, and the Iraqi Foreign Minister has conveyed the message from the United States to him.
According to IRNA, Mr. Amir-Abdollahian said in an exclusive interview with Al-Alam news network that we have explicitly given this message to the authorities of the Kurdistan Region in recent months, and we will not be satisfied with anything less than the closure of all terrorist bases, garrisons, and training centers in the Kurdistan Region, and the delivery of criminals to the judicial system.
According to Mr. Amir-Abdollahian, relevant authorities in the Kurdistan Region were also present in the discussions, and now a draft document has been prepared between us that we hope will be signed as soon as possible.
He also said that Fuad Hussein, the Iraqi Foreign Minister who recently traveled to Washington, was carrying this message that the American side is ready to finalize the agreement. We have always welcomed diplomacy and negotiations and have not distanced ourselves from negotiations.
