The Minister of Communications considers the statistics of messaging traffic as trade secrets

The Minister of Communications considers the traffic statistics of messaging apps as trade secrets.

Zarepour, in response to reporters about the reason for not providing traffic statistics of domestic messaging apps, said that detailed information about these messaging apps is part of their trade secrets and we cannot disclose it.

According to him, Mojtaba Tavangar, the head of the Digital Economy Commission of the Parliament, who had asked about this issue, is supposed to be invited to meetings and be provided with the information.

The Minister of Communications, referring to Tavangar’s letter regarding the decrease in operators’ revenue, said that this matter is absolutely not true and no operator is on the verge of bankruptcy.
