The Ministry of Sports News Agency: The return of Mehdi Ghayedi to Esteghlal is not possible

The Ministry of Sports news agency stated that the return of Mehdi Ghaedi to Esteghlal is not possible.

The official news agency of the Ministry of Sports, Berna, wrote that the return of the national team star to Esteghlal is not possible under the current circumstances.

Former Esteghlal head coach Farhad Majidi has officially separated from the club, and after this separation, there are many rumors about Ghaedi’s departure from the team. While this departure may happen, the discussion of Ghaedi’s return to Esteghlal is ruled out in the current situation.

According to the law, Ghaedi is under contract with Esteghlal, and he has not terminated his contract in the transfer season to join Esteghlal as a free agent. Esteghlal’s squad is full, and no spots were left vacant during the transfer season. As a result, Reza Mirzaei was also removed from the list. Therefore, it is not possible to clear the list after the end of the winter transfer season.

On the other hand, Ghaedi is considered a foreign player by law, but Esteghlal is not among the top 3 teams and does not meet the minimum requirements for the Iranian league.

Therefore, the return of the ‘Atomic Ant’ to Esteghlal is ruled out under the current circumstances, and we have to wait to see what happens at the end of the season and in the summer transfer window.
