The New York Times: Iran is ready to receive Russian Su-35

Iran is ready to receive Russian Su-35 fighter jets, according to The New York Times.

The American magazine’s website reported on Saturday, February 17th, citing satellite images and videos released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force’s Eagle 44 Air Base, that Iran is preparing to receive Russian Su-35 fighter jets.

The report, which was published in full on Sunday, February 18th, states that a life-sized model of a Su-35 fighter jet is visible in the outdoor area of this underground base, which could indicate Iran’s readiness to receive them.

Iranian government media had previously announced the unveiling of underground tunnels, claiming that various fighter jets, bombers, and drones can be stored there.
