The Ministry of Welfare says that the inflation rate in Iran’s economy has been much higher than its long-term trends and the economy is in an unstable situation.

After presenting the Consumer Price Index in Bahman month, the Statistical Center published the inflation statistics by province yesterday.

According to these statistics, in Bahman month of 1401, the Consumer Price Index for households in the country reached 608, but the price index for food products increased to 909.

On the other hand, the rising housing prices have created difficult conditions for both the wealthy and the poor, although the pressure of price increases in the housing sector has been higher for the poor according to statistics. For example, the share of housing in monthly inflation for the first decile was 0.63%, but for the tenth decile, it was 0.04%. This is while the monthly inflation rate in Bahman month for all deciles in the housing sector is about 0.05%.
