According to a previously released video interview of Zar Bibi Ismailzahi and her husband Amir Mohammad Brahowi, Mrs. Ismailzahi had hugged her young grandson to calm him down and had left the house on Friday, 8th of Mehr. However, during the shooting by security forces in Zahedan, bullets hit her shoulder. In the interview, she complains, ‘I pray to God to guide them. They didn’t spare me. Afternoon of the same day, they shot at us so much that bullets were raining down on us like stones.’

Severe infection resulting from the wound is stated as the cause of Mrs. Ismailzahi’s death.

According to Baloch activists, about one hundred people lost their lives in the bloody Zahedan Friday.

The Iranian government has declared the number of casualties as 35.
