Mr. Wang made these remarks during a meeting with Nikolai Patrushev, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council.

He said that the two sides discussed their willingness to deal with all forms of coercion.

On Wednesday, Jens Stoltenberg, the NATO Secretary-General, repeated concerns from the United States that China could provide military support to Russia in the war against Ukraine.

Mr. Wang is scheduled to meet with Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, on Thursday.
