The Secretary-General of the Ophthalmology Association has sent a confidential report regarding eye injuries from pellet impacts to the authorities.
Previously, a group of professors and corneal transplant specialists wrote to the Secretary-General of the Iranian Ophthalmology Association about the dangers of shooting pellet and paintball bullets at the eyes, once on November 14th and again on November 19th to follow up on the previous letter.
Although the ophthalmology specialists requested a follow-up on their warning letter, the Ophthalmology Association did not provide a public response to this group.
Yesterday, Mahmoud Jabarvand, the Secretary-General of this association, announced that a confidential report on this matter has been prepared and submitted to the authorities.
