For decades, children in America and the Soviet Union were taught what to do in the event of a nuclear war. Now, with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, it seems that concerns about this issue have resurfaced.
Just a few days after the start of Moscow’s attack in February, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the readiness of the country’s nuclear forces. Washington deemed such a move dangerous and irresponsible, warning the Kremlin about the catastrophic consequences.
