The statement of the Organization Council for Organizing Contract Workers’ Protests: The dimensions of poverty and hunger are catastrophic
The Council for Organizing Contract Workers’ Protests, in a statement published on their Telegram channel on Thursday, December 12, wrote that the women’s movement for freedom does not have the option to stand still.
This council condemns the suppression and killing of protesters and executions, while also stating that the workers demand freedom and welfare.
In this statement, it is mentioned that the protests, which started on September 16 after the killing of Mahsa Amini during her arrest by the Basij forces, were in defense of our lost lives and the dignity and human rights. But they responded to us with bullets and imprisonment.
Prisons are filled with the presence of young people and teenagers who are the heart and soul of our people. During this time, about 600 people have lost their lives either by gunshot or in prison due to torture. Many of them are young people, teenagers, and even ten-year-old children like Kian Pourfakhr.
