The Taliban's Information and Culture Chief Issues a Decree Prohibiting Fake Shia-Sunni Marriages

The Head of Information and Culture of the Taliban states that the ban on marriage between Shia and Sunni is a fabricated decree

Mawlawi Muzaffar Ahmad, the Head of Information and Culture of the Taliban in Badakhshan, said in a video that this decree is fake and has been launched by the enemies of the country. We strongly condemn and deny it.

This Taliban official considers the published news as propaganda and emphasizes that no one can drive the people of this district, where followers of different religions live, towards religious biases.

Recently, a written statement has been circulated on social media, in which a local Taliban official in Nasi district of Badakhshan has announced a ban on giving a Sunni girl to Shia individuals.
