The United Nations General Assembly adopted an anti-Russia resolution and marked the anniversary of the Ukraine war.
In the mentioned session, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution prepared by Ukraine and Western countries. For the first time, the United States opposed the anti-Russia resolution.
The U.S. representative at the United Nations, in remarks before the adoption of this resolution, stated that Washington does not support the draft anti-Russia resolution of the United Nations General Assembly concerning Ukraine and calls for its rejection.
He added that the draft resolution by the United States at the United Nations General Assembly regarding Ukraine is not a peace agreement but rather a pathway to peace.
Washington had requested that its resolution concerning the conflicts in Ukraine replace the resolution by Europe and Ukraine, but the Brussels and Kyiv version won the vote.
It is noteworthy that resolutions adopted by the United Nations General Assembly are not binding and only have a political aspect.
