The White House in Russia is developing anti-satellite capabilities

The White House confirmed on Friday that the national security threat raised by the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday is related to Russia’s development of anti-satellite capabilities

On Thursday, Mike Turner, a Republican representative on the House Intelligence Committee, issued unusual statements and warned of a serious national security threat

John Kirby, the spokesperson for the National Security Council at the White House, said on Friday that this is not an active capability that has been deployed. He added that while this is not an immediate threat to security, Russia’s pursuit of this particular capability is concerning

Mr. Kirby also stated that we are not talking about a weapon that can be used to attack humans or cause physical destruction here on Earth
