The Nicaraguan Embassy in Germany has been definitively closed

The Nicaraguan Embassy in Germany has definitively closed.

Following Nicaragua’s complaint against the German government for participating in the Gaza Strip massacre, this Central American country has finally and completely closed its embassy in Berlin.

An employee of the Nicaraguan embassy in Vienna confirmed to a German news agency that in the future, official affairs of this embassy will be handled by the Nicaraguan diplomatic representation in Austria. All consular duties will also be carried out from Vienna in the future.

Before this action, the self-proclaimed government of President Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua had announced in the official newspaper on Tuesday, April 9, that Sabra Murillo, the Nicaraguan ambassador stationed in Vienna, would serve as the ambassador of Nicaragua to Germany.

According to the German Foreign Ministry, several hundred Nicaraguans live in Germany, and about a thousand Germans live in Nicaragua.
