Thirst in Tehran continues

The total volume of reservoirs in Tehran province is currently 225 million cubic meters, compared to 310 million cubic meters last year.

Currently, the water volume in Amir Kabir dam reservoir is about 19 million cubic meters, compared to 35 million cubic meters on the same day last year. Additionally, the water storage volume in Taleqan dam has decreased from 178 million cubic meters last year to 140 million cubic meters.

The water storage volume in Lar dam was 113 million cubic meters last year, showing a decrease of 2 million cubic meters compared to the current volume of 111 million cubic meters. The water volume in Mamloo dam has also decreased from 68 million cubic meters last year to 44 million cubic meters. On the other hand, the water storage volume in Latian dam has decreased by 6 million cubic meters to 11 million cubic meters compared to the same day last year.

The amount of rainfall recorded from the beginning of the water year until now is 1035 millimeters, compared to 1177 millimeters last year. Consequently, the rainfall has decreased by 121% compared to the previous water year and by 289% compared to the long-term average.
