Transfer of Iranian and foreign prisoners to their countries by the end of the year

The Deputy Minister of Justice and the head of the Prisoner Transfer Committee stated that approximately four thousand Iranian prisoners are held in prisons in other countries. He mentioned that since the beginning of this year, 86 Iranian prisoners have been returned from other countries to Iran, and we plan to return more than 100 other prisoners to the country by the end of the year.

He added that out of the total four thousand Iranian prisoners abroad, 2,800 Iranians are held in Turkish prisons, and the transfer of Iranian prisoners from Turkey to Armenia, Sri Lanka, and India is also on the agenda.
