Tomaj Salehi’s Twitter account announced that Tomaj’s trial will be held on 26th of Esfand.

The Twitter account of X, former rapper and protester Tomaj Salehi, reported that his trial on charges of spreading lies will be held on 26th of Esfand.

This account claims that Tomaj Salehi has not committed any crime and is only illegally detained due to security scenarios, and should be released immediately.

About two weeks ago, Tomaj Salehi’s lawyer had announced the confirmation of the one-year imprisonment sentence of this rapper in the Isfahan Province Appeals Court.

This conviction relates to cases that were formed shortly after Tomaj Salehi’s re-arrest on 9th of Azar, 1402, shortly after his release from prison.

He was first arrested in Shahrivar 1400 after performing the song ‘Buy a Mouse Hole’ and was released on bail after 10 days. On 8th of Aban, 1401, during nationwide protests in Iran and after nearly two months of living in hiding in homes in the village of Gerdabishah in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, he was detained.

Last year, Tomaj Salehi’s arrest sparked widespread reactions and calls for the release of this Iranian artist were raised worldwide.
