Ukraine recruits 160,000 more citizens as military personnel
The Ukrainian parliament has approved the extension of martial law for another 90 days and the mobilization of more forces for the fronts against Russia. The government plans to call up 160,000 new troops to fight against Russia. The country is under intense pressure on the battlefronts with Russia.
As reported by Ukrainian media, two-thirds of the parliament members voted for both laws. The drafts of these laws were previously submitted by Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine. Oleksandr Lytvynenko, the Secretary of the National Security Council, announced in parliament that this number should be mobilized for military service.
