The United Nations reported on the exacerbation of the water crisis in the world

The United Nations has reported an intensification of the global water crisis.

According to the World Water Report released on Friday, March 22, 22 billion people worldwide currently lack access to clean water.

Approximately 3.5 billion people are forced to live without proper sanitation services, as per the published statistics.

This report, prepared by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, also indicates that water consumption worldwide is increasing by one percent annually due to population growth, social and economic developments, and changes in citizens’ habits.
