US Officials Awaiting Iran's Policy Adjustment

American officials are waiting for Iran to moderate its stance

A statement released at the meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, prepared by three European countries and the United States, has kept the doors to the negotiation table open by requesting Iran to fully cooperate with the agency. On the other hand, journalists have now gained access to the official and confidential response of the United States to Iran’s recent requests and proposals. In its official response, the United States has offered nothing beyond the recent statements of American officials. The U.S. has asked Iran to cooperate with the IAEA and has considered Iran’s recent response as a step backward. American officials still see the possibility of reaching an agreement and are waiting for Iran to moderate its stance.
