The United States puts the Houthis back on the terrorism list

Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, announced today, January 17th, that the White House has once again included the Yemeni Houthis on its terrorist list, and this decision will be implemented after 30 days.

This decision is in line with the United States’ efforts to increase pressure on this group, which is engaged in military activities in certain parts of Yemen.

Since the Hamas attack on Israel, the Houthis have declared that they will continue to attack ships passing through the Red Sea until Israel’s military operations in Gaza cease.

So far, they have fired dozens of missiles and drones towards commercial ships passing through the Red Sea.
