The US Secretary of State says Russia is helping Iran circumvent sanctions.
During a meeting at the Security Council, the US Secretary of State expressed concern over the cooperation between Iran, North Korea, China, and Russia.
Yesterday, Antony Blinken, during a speech at the United Nations Security Council meeting regarding the situation in Ukraine, called for an end to the military cooperation of Iran, North Korea, and China with Russia.
The website UKINFORM reported that Blinken, expressing concern about the military cooperation of Russia with Iran, China, and North Korea, said there are two immediate and related steps we must take: first, we must address the growing cooperation of Russia with North Korea and Iran.
The US Secretary of State continued by reiterating Western officials’ statements about the delivery of Iranian drones to Russia and the construction of a drone factory in Russia, and stated that North Korea has also supplied large shipments of weapons and ammunition, including rocket launchers and millions of artillery shells to Russia.
The US Secretary of State continued, saying the actions of Iran, North Korea, and Russia contradict several United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Blinken then said that the relationship between Russia and Iran, China, and North Korea is not a one-way street, and that North Korea and Iran also receive help from Russia to circumvent sanctions and destabilize the region.
