Volodymyr Zelensky met with the King of Britain.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, is going from London to Paris, where he will meet with Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, and Olaf Scholz, the Chancellor of Germany.
Mr. Zelensky, on his second foreign trip after the Russian attack, arrived in London unannounced on Thursday. He had a short meeting with Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of Britain, and then delivered a speech in the British Parliament to representatives of both houses. Afterwards, he met with the King of Britain at Buckingham Palace and thanked him for Charles III’s support for Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine requested fighter jets from Britain in Parliament. An hour later, the British Prime Minister’s office said Ben Wallace, the Defense Secretary, had been tasked with investigating whether Britain could provide any aircraft to Ukraine.
