Warning from Molavi Abdulghaffar Naghshbandi regarding the siege of the Holy Mosque
Molavi Abdulghaffar Naghshbandi, the Friday prayer leader of Rask in Sistan and Baluchestan province and one of the Sunni scholars in Iran, has issued a warning to the authorities of the Islamic Republic in response to the reported siege of the Holy Mosque in Zahedan.
In a statement released by his office, he warns the government that if the siege of the Holy Mosque continues, the beating heart of the Sunni community in Iran and the suppression of citizens and worshippers will be awaiting a historic fatwa.
Since this morning, reports have emerged from Zahedan that the Holy Mosque in the city has been surrounded by security forces and a large number of people have been detained. The live broadcast of Molavi Abdulhamid’s speeches has been cut off, and it is unclear what the situation is inside the Holy Mosque.
