Unprecedented criticism of the White House by Israeli extremists
Following the strong and destructive reaction of the extremist Smotrich, an Israeli cabinet minister, to the proposed agreement by the US, Egypt, and Qatar, Jen Psaki, advisor to Joe Biden, and the spokesperson for the US National Security Council officially criticized him for the first time in a White House press briefing. Admiral Kirby, mentioning Smotrich by name and reading from a pre-prepared text, warned Smotrich that his criticisms and provocations are essentially based on the idea of continuing an aimless endless war without considering the situation of hostages.
He stated that while the US President is trying to defend Israel against a potential second Iranian attack, Smotrich’s accusation that by forcing Israel into an agreement, Biden is endangering Israel is outrageous. In part of the statement, Smotrich is explicitly condemned and his views are described as ‘Dead Wrong,’ which is unprecedented in diplomatic literature.
