Who is the Emrani gang?
According to Iran Gate, the Emrani gang is one of the corrupt gangs in the petrochemical and steel industries. Amin Emrani is the manager of Maroun Petrochemical and Ali Emrani is the manager of Sanganeh Steel. They have close relationships with Khodamorad Ahmadi, one of the suspects in the Amir Mansour Aria case and the former deputy minister of Ahmadinejad’s era.
The Emrani brothers, Ali Emrani and Amin Emrani, are members of the Lur gang. They are also supported by Khodadad Gharibpour, the former CEO of IMIDRO and Khavarzami Investment Company. Therefore, they have a strong presence in the steel industry and control the extensive mafia in this industry. The name of this corrupt gang is also mentioned in the corruption case of Mobarak Steel.
Amin Emrani entered the petrochemical industry with the support of the son-in-law of one of the commanders of the Revolutionary Guards. One of the companies associated with the corruption ring is CALZINC TRADING SL, which has been registered in Spain since 2010 under the names Amirabbas Hosseini, Alireza Rahimzadeh, and Marliz Zilinger.
Behind the scenes, Khodadad Gharibpour, Khodamorad Ahmadi, and Ali Hemmat-Daee, the hardworking CEO of Southern Aluminum, are involved.
Following the appointment of Amin Amrayi and the increase in urea prices, various individuals became involved in its trade, directly and indirectly. The Amrayi brothers and the corrupt circle of the petrochemical industry, with the support of Khodadad Gharibpour and Gholamreza Tajgardoon, are seeking to increase the price of urea through a company called DESPINA, registered in the UAE under the name of Mahmoud Yanik, a Turkish national.
Hassan Tofiqi, the manager and director of the Tajgardoon operation in Gachsaran, has become one of the key players in the urea industry. Additionally, several individuals named Biranvand and Yar Ahmadi have also benefited from this scheme.
